About the Website

Development of this website were from the combined ideas of the 20th reunion committee: Sherry Cornwell Osbourne, Wendy Wills Honeycutt, David Groover, Katrina Winfrey Scarborough, Ruth Waddle Cusano, Carolee Goodwin Blackmore, Michele Hedges, Amanda Escobar Moraguez, Tara Gaston, Terry Popelka, Christine Ahearn Endicott and Tory Sims.

This website was developed by Tory Sims. As a graduate from OHS class of 1986 I saw a need to develop a website that allowed and encourage communication among my friends and fellow classmates. I would like to make a friendly and useful place that will serve as a reminder to all the fun times I had at OHS.

I was actually looking at doing something like this 3 years prior to the development of this site. I had done some research and noted no one had a private or commercial website for the Osceola Kowboys. I thought it was odd that this had not been done. I was just getting started in web development and going thru a rough divorce so this all was forgot about till early 2006.

As the 20th year of my graduation approached I looked to get information for my reunion. The only website out there was classmates.com it had a ton of listing for my classmates, but wanted you to pay to contact them. I felt I could do better. I felt I could provide something for my school. Welcome ohsreunions.com This website will become a very nice and cheep(free) way OHS graduates can stay in contact. Providing a website of this type is my speciality. I have a couple of these sites currently running. PlaneDoctor.com is my pride and joy right now. I have had it up for 3 years. Although it's not getting super traffic it has between 400- 800 page views a day. TorySims.com is my personal website. A place to show my wears.

I'm also extremely proud to be the owner of OsceolaKowboys.com I haven't made plans for this, but hope it might be something someday.

  5. What does the terms "Were meeting at the base ball field" mean?
Well lets just say it DON'T mean your going to be watching baseball!

  6. Does anyone really read these questions?
No, Not till you ! :-)

  7. What can I do to get the songs to play in the review page?
If the songs are not playing at all you need to find your default media player. Most use Windows Media player. There you will find a "Tools" menu. From there go to "Options". Make sure you have the file type "mp3" checked. This will ensure your player will play these files. Most of the problems are due to configuration with the default player.

  8. Tell me about the music on this website.
The files used on this site are mp3's. Most are familiar with this type of music file. The bitrate for these files have been reduced down to FM radio quality so they will play faster for people on dial up connections. The files are called using a playlist file called a m3u. This is a small text file that the audio players read. This file will point the player to the correct address and instruct it to start playing it instead of downloading it. If you right click on a song and select "Save target as..." you will download one of these text files instead of the music.
